Curtin Engineering is nationally and internationally recognised as a leader in Engineering Education and Research. We are dedicated to the enhancement of teaching and research and the pursuit of excellence and innovative applications of engineering technology as a contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge, understanding and community relevance.

Our vision is to nurture cross-disciplinary teaching and research, providing educational and service benefits to our students. An example of this is our unique Engineering Foundation Year first-year program, which was the 2006 recipient of the National Carrick Award for "First Year Experience". Although each Engineering Department has its own distinctive communities, Curtin Engineering has a shared set of values and approaches enshrined to provide a distinctive character to Engineering at Curtin.
