Curtin Engineering aspires to be nationally and internationally recognised as a leader in Engineering Education and Research. We are dedicated to the enhancement of teaching and research and the pursuit of excellence and innovative applications of engineering technology as a contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge, understanding and community relevance.

Primarily our vision is to nurture cross-disciplinary teaching and research, thereby providing educational and service benefits to our students that its size permits. An example of this is our unique Engineering Foundation Year first-year program, taken by all Bachelor of Engineering students, that is the 2006 recipient of the National Carrick Award for "First Year Experience". Although each Engineering Department has its own distinctive communities, Curtin Engineering has a shared set of values and approaches enshrined to provide a distinctive character to Engineering at Curtin.

We offer a range of Bachelor of Engineering (four-year) and Bachelor of Technology (three-year) programs. We also offer Double Degree programs with other disciplines. Visit our prospective students course information website to explore the possible double degrees available. All of the Curtin Engineering Bachelor’s degree programs are accredited by Engineers Australia and recognised in overseas countries through the Washington Accord. Our graduates are highly regarded by industry and the professions as is evidenced by very high employment rates.

The School has approximately 2,000 equivalent full-time students studying for Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degrees. About 25% of the School’s enrolments are international students giving the Curtin Experience a cross-cultural and global focus that reflects the Engineering profession.

The School offers a variety of postgraduate courses and research programs leading to Masters and Doctoral degrees; these are listed here

The School also offers programs at its Curtin-Sarawak Campus in Eastern Malaysia and actively contributes to the courses conducted by Curtin International College here on our main Western Australia campus.
